General Baggage Information
Air New Zealand has different baggage policies depending on the area of travel and the ticket class.
This economy baggage policy covers domestic Smart Saver Tickets on Air New Zealand Jet & Air New Zealand Link flights.
NOTE: Passengers travelling on Air New Zealand link flights have a reduced carry-on size of 105cm / 41". Air New Zealand link flight have numbers in series 2000, 5000 and 8000.
Checked Bag Cost Each Way
The number of FREE checked bags on this flight & ticket class = 1 (within the standard size and weight limit).
Second checked bag = $15.00 NZD.
Third checked bag = $50.00 NZD.
Additional checked bags = $150.00 NZD per bag.
Luggage in excess of the 25kg / 55lbs standard weight allowance will be charged $10.00 NZD per KG of excess weight up to the individual bag limit of 32kg / 70lbs.
Passengers should be aware that ALL baggage charges are applied each way.
